Children’s Hope Gala raises $300,000

Bon Secours — Richmond, VA

Annual event sets new record, raising $300,000 for Bon Secours pediatric care

More than 430 guests attended Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation's annual Children's Hope Gala

On March 25, 2023 at Main Street Station's First Floor Shed, guests and sponsors raised over $300,000 for pediatric programs and services.

A silent auction offered local artwork, jewelry, one-of-a-kind culinary experiences and more. A live auction featured VIP villas, a Nashville getaway and Montana adventures. Additionally, Peebles Golf Cars sponsored a 2023 Club Car Tempo valued at $14,000!

Also featured that night was a custom-built dollhouse that was part of our Children's Art Project. School children in Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield and Petersburg designed all the rooms. It is one-of-a-kind and was a special item for our guests to see.

A Blessing for Richmond's Children & Families

"Our extraordinary pediatric care team at Bon Secours provides excellent health care as well as social, emotional and complementary services that are not covered by insurance companies. We are blessed by the generosity of the community to help us support Richmond's children and families at a time they need it most."

The funding that the Children's Hope Gala provides is vital for maintaining and improving pediatric care in the Richmond area. Donations and proceeds help purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment. They also enable us to offer comforts that soften a child's hospital stay, like video game systems and Disney+ accounts.

Bon Secours' pediatric services supported by donations to Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation include:

  • Neonatal and pediatric intensive care units
  • Pediatric emergency departments
  • General inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
  • Pediatric specialists including cleft and craniofacial, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, orthopedists, surgeons, sleep specialists and dentists
  • Comprehensive care given by nurses, social workers, child life specialists and dieticians
  • Noah's Children hospice and palliative care
  • Richmond Hope Therapy Center intensive physical therapy for children

We rely on events like the annual Children's Hope Gala and event attendees, sponsors, auction bidders and donors to help us offer the level of care and support that children truly deserve.

You help bring premature babies home, safe and healthy

Tranika Singleton gave premature birth to twins, Kaliah and Kasen, at only 23 weeks. After 112 days in Bon Secours St. Mary's NICU, Kaliah was able to go home. Kasen finally joined them after 221 days in the NICU. Because of donors like you, their stay was as easy and comforting as possible. Tranika credits the care team with not just saving lives, but also with giving the highest-quality patient experience. We could not do that with you. When you support Bon Secours, you support people through their most difficult trials.
