Miller's wealth of Foundation experience positions her well for the role
After years of service, she's excited to help guide the growth of Hampton Roads
Please join us in welcoming Carrie Miller as president of the Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation. She comes to the office having already served the Foundation for almost a decade. Her experience includes numerous roles in executive leadership, advocacy, government affairs and sponsorship. In her previous work as senior gift officer, Miller secured vital funds in support of Hampton Roads. It gave her a unique understanding of what the community, and the Foundation, needs.
Carrie F. Miller, MPH
President
Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation
Taking on the role of president is both an honor and a responsibility I embrace with great enthusiasm, especially as Bon Secours Hampton Roads is experiencing tremendous growth. In this role, I look forward to advancing health care in our community, enhancing our donor experience and elevating our philanthropic impact.
This year, the Foundation has focused on improving critical facilities and programs. The Harbour View Medical Center expansion kicked off. Portsmouth installed women's imaging services. Community health programs and staff education have also benefited. This focus is familiar for Miller, whose fundraising supported many community-oriented projects. Her efforts were critical to the Care-A-Van and Healthy Food Pantry, to name a few.
“Together with our dedicated team and our donors, I look forward to advancing the well-being of Hampton Roads and ensuring that our initiatives continue to make a meaningful impact,” she said.
Before joining Bon Secours, Miller was director of development and operations at Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads. She holds a BS in Health Science from Clemson University and a MPH from the University of Virginia.
