The Cancer Procedure Suite is an addition to the Bon Secours St. Francis Cancer Center
The goal of the suite is to help treat more patients for more types of cancer, close to home in Greenville
More patients than ever before will soon receive treatment at Bon Secours St. Francis Cancer Center. The campaign for a new Cancer Procedure Suite at the Center launched in 2024 and recently met its $1.5 million goal. With funds secured, construction is well underway and nearing completion.
Cancer patients and their loved ones are a top priority to Bon Secours St. Francis. Cancer is the leading cause of death in Greenville residents and, sadly, complex cases are on the rise. Bon Secours designed this suite as a solution to the growing number of cancer patients. 2,400 square feet of former office space is becoming a state-of-the-art surgical suite. New exam, consultation and procedural rooms are being installed, all with cutting-edge technology.
This expansion is going to allow St. Francis to better serve both new and existing patients. Available specialties will include:
- Urologic oncology
- Surgical oncology
- Breast surgery
Bringing these specialties in house makes it easier to address complex cancer cases. Thanks to campaign donors, patients will be able to stay in one place for all their treatment needs.
Construction of the Cancer Procedure Suite is entering its final stages. Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation will host a blessing in April and doors will open to patients in May.
We want to thank Foundation donors for helping give cancer patients the best care. Because of their support, more Greenville residents will get treatment for a greater range of cancer types. It is without question that their gifts will save lives. To learn more about supporting Bon Secours cancer services, please see below.
