Care for Those in Need

Make an Impact

Everyone needs life-saving health care for a better life. You can help.

Nobody should have to choose between paying their bills or getting medical care

A number of our programs include help for people who need health care services but don’t have insurance or the ability to pay.

At Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, our Mission isn't a plaque on the wall. It's our calling, our True North. Patient assistance resources are just one way we improve the health and well-being of our communities and bring good help to those in need, especially to those who are poor, dying and underserved.

But we depend on your help. Your generous support means the most vulnerable people in our community can access the medical care they need for better health and a better life.

Mobile Health Clinic

Donations to the Foundation's Graduate Medical Education (GME) fund help support the work of our medical residents and the ONU HealthWise Mobile Health Clinic that provides free primary care, vaccinations and other services across Allen and Hardin counties. The clinic on wheels is staffed by residents and medical students from St. Rita's GME program, who get valuable experience providing primary care and family medicine.

The Mobile Health Clinic travels to medically underserved local communities with high levels of poverty and illness. The partnership between St. Rita's and Ohio Northern University makes medical care available to those who don't have health insurance or the ability to pay.

Your gift to the Graduate Medical Education fund ensures people in need in Allen and Hardin counties have access to the Mobile Health Clinic with updated equipment and skilled physicians and medical students.

Lend a Hand

Help families get quality medical care even if they don't have insurance or the ability to pay

Cancer Services

A cancer diagnosis is scary for anyone. But for a person who is already struggling financially, the costs during cancer treatments can be overwhelming. Your donation helps provide life-saving cancer care for everyone who needs it, regardless of insurance or their ability to pay, and extra support for the personal expenses during cancer treatments that add to their financial challenges.

Support for the Foundation provides funding for two Mercy Health Express vans that help people get to and from frequent medical appointments and cancer treatments or gas cards for those who live outside the Mercy Health Express coverage area.

Save Lives

Ensure everyone can get the treatments they need to win their battle against cancer

Women's Wellness Fund

Donations help St. Rita's provide health care for women of all ages and stages of life, even if they are uninsured or don't have the ability to pay. Support from donors adds additional 3-D mammography units and software upgrades to provide life-saving technology to more women. Our Women's Wellness Center and other services dedicated to women's health benefit from new equipment and facility updates and raise awareness about the importance of annual mammograms.

Women who qualify based on financial need can receive free mammograms or breast ultrasounds, important for detecting cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages. And donations provide women in cancer treatment with support groups and journals.

With your help, women have the most advanced options to monitor their health without having to travel to a larger city.
