Invest in Cincinnati's Future Physicians
Make a gift to help train the best doctors that will care for you and your loved ones in the years to come
Invest in tomorrow's doctors for a future of great health care in Cincinnati
Your gift will help expand Mercy Health's residency programs to train more medical students in much-needed specialties
A great doctor is a game changer for your good health. And many great doctors get their start at Mercy Health by completing their medical residency in our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program. Expanding the GME program to accommodate more students is more important than ever. Cincinnati, like much of the nation, faces a critical shortage of physicians as the Baby Boomer doctors begin to retire and fewer medical school graduates can complete their training due to limited medical internship opportunities.
You can be part of the solution for a healthier Cincinnati, today and for decades to come. By supporting Mercy Health Foundation Greater Cincinnati's fundraising campaign to expand our Graduate Medical Education program, you help establish a pipeline of primary care and specialty trained future physicians.
Contributions to the GME campaign will allow more students to complete their medical training by providing vital funding to renovate and expand learning spaces and technology for our residency programs at three Mercy Health hospitals.Â
Donors like you who give to the GME campaign will support:
- 74 students to complete their medical residency
- Specialty training in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency care, general surgery and podiatry
- Expansion of GME residency training to Mercy Health's Anderson and Fairfield hospitals, in addition to The Jewish Hospital
- Scholarships for the best and brightest medical residents
- State-of-the-art simulation lab
- New classrooms
- Internal medicine clinic
- Family medicine clinic
- Library
- Resident lounge, on-call rooms, administrator offices and more
