For Kayla Carroll, the importance of giving isn't about the amount of a gift. It's about the act of giving, whether it's monetary or of one’s time.

“The average donation to the Mercy Health Foundation Irvine is about $40,” she says.

“It’s not about the dollar amount. It's not about being able to give thousands or even millions of dollars, it’s about what fits you and your family.”

Kayla is a volunteer member of the Foundation and a regular donor to the Greatest Needs Fund. She likes that fund because she sees the impact that it can have on everything in the hospital. Greatest Needs Fund can pay for cutting-edge medical equipment or furniture in waiting rooms.

“With general funds available, it means when a sudden need arises, we can address it quickly,” she says. “The Foundation has been able to help in so many ways, but only because of donors.”
