Susan gives to community health programs because they reflect the mission of Bon Secours
Susan Pilato has been a Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation donor for a number of years. She gives because she sees the need in her community. She also sees the passion of those who provide care. Witnessing both is why she supports community health initiatives, specifically.
“The Care-A-Van is something I donate to because it was started by a dear friend who was trying to create a solution to a big problem in our community. I wanted to be part of that. That’s what attracted me in the first place,” says Susan.
“Community health programs very much reflect the mission of helping others.”
Since then, Susan has worked to understand the needs of people in the community. She went to the food pantry so she could see those needs firsthand. The way community health programs support the Bon Secours mission means the most to her. “This is one of the lessons Jesus taught us. If we are able to help, we should be helping.”
