Rhiannon gives to help support families who have babies in the NICU
Eighteen years ago, Rhiannon Horstman was born premature at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was so early that her mom hadn’t even had a baby shower yet.
Recently, Rhiannon wanted to help parents of premature babies at the hospital where she was born.
“I got together with friends and family, and we were able to collect items to make gift bags for NICU patients,” she says.
“We wanted to provide for families like ours that didn’t have the opportunity to get the things their baby would need.”
Rhiannon was even able to hand-deliver two of the care packages to a mom of premature twins and see her appreciation first-hand.
“I definitely see myself doing more to help in my future.”
