To call Dave Zeller a “local” is an understatement. Springfield-born and raised, Dave is a lifelong member of the community. That’s why, when cancer struck in 2018, he knew he would be in good hands at the Mercy Health's Springfield Cancer Center.

“From the nurses to the doctors to the receptionists, everybody treats you so well. My sons wanted me to go to Columbus for a second opinion, but all the expertise is right here in Springfield.”

Dave even knew his doctor, Dr. Daljeet Singh, from their years playing golf together at the Springfield Country Club. All of these positive experiences inspired Dave to become an active donor to give back for the wonderful care and compassion received during his cancer treatment.

“I’d never really given to any charities before,” Dave said. “With the great facility we have, it just felt right. I plan on doing it every year.”
