Thanks to you, Tammy didn’t have to worry about keeping a roof over her head after surgery for breast cancer
Although Tammy Snellgrove had been working before her illness, her breast cancer combined with the COVID-19 pandemic prevented her from returning to her job in early 2020. The single mother wasn’t sure where to turn for help with bills after her surgery at Mercy Health's Fairfield Hospital.
“I really didn’t know what to do,” she said. “I was totally stressed. On top of trying to recover from my surgery and the impact of the pandemic, I was anxious about how to pay for everything. It all just drained me. I just felt lifeless.”
Tammy talked about her concerns with a staff member. And, thanks to your generosity, she was able to get the help she needed to make her mortgage payment.
“Thank God for this program. Thank you so much. I very much appreciate it. It is a wonderful, amazing, awesome thing to help people like this.”
Tammy is grateful for your help at such a difficult time. “I was sick, and worried about becoming homeless. When they made those payments for me, can you imagine how much that helped? I just bawled my eyes out when they did that.”
