You helped the Earley family when they were grieving the loss of a wife and mother
Maurice and Pamela Earley were enjoying active, fulfilling lives with their two sons. With one in college and the other in middle school, it was a hectic but happy time.
In July of 2019, Pamela passed away suddenly from a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot. Thanks to your generosity, Maurice and his sons were able to find help to process and manage their devastating grief.
“One of my son’s school counselors turned us on to KIDZ’NGRIEF when we were desperately in need. That program has saved a lot of people, including the three of us.”
The Bon Secours KIDZ’NGRIEF bereavement program offers grief education and support to children and teens as they cope with the multitude of changes and emotions they experience after the death of a family member. The program, which is funded through donations, encourages children and teens to ask questions and talk about the person who has died. Using a range of innovative activities, participants can learn to adjust to the physical loss of their loved one.
For the Earley family, it has made a profound difference in their lives.
“This program has taught us to deal with loss,” Maurice said. “There is no getting over something like this, but the program offers understanding, honesty and a real sense of community, and that really helps.”
“I’m so grateful that donors make programs like this available to people who are grieving. For my family, it’s been the best thing ever.”
